AI in Agriculture Market Share, Size, Future Demand, Top Leading Player, and Emerging Trends

The booming population is putting immense pressure on the agrarian community to produce more of all kinds of crops, dairy products, and meats than ever before. In addition, the growing cities, which are eating up agricultural land, are making this task increasingly difficult. This is why the focus at the individual farmer and government levels has started shifting toward modern ways of practicing agriculture. Like most industries, agriculture is now embracing digitization and, with it, its various components, such as drones, robots, and sensors.

To make all these systems more effective and the cultivation and animal husbandry processes more fruitful, artificial intelligence (AI) is being leveraged. As per P&S Intelligence, this will be the key reason behind the growth of the AI in agriculture market from $852.2 million in 2019 to $8,379.5 million by 2030, at a 24.8% CAGR between 2020 and 2030. The purpose of using AI in agriculture is to offer real-time updates on sowing and reaping times, crop and animal health and growth status, weather and soil, animal watering and feeding needs, and biocide requirement.

Another key purpose of using AI in agriculture is livestock monitoring, which is essential in order to improve the quality of dairy and meat products, especially since they are strongly regulated by government agencies for safety and nutritional value. Machine vision is being leveraged to recognize hide patterns and facial features, ascertain the water and food intake of the livestock, as well as track the animals’ temperature and behavior. In this regard, the rising incidence of foodborne diseases is driving the focus on livestock monitoring, as it allows farmers to administer drugs and other treatments or discard products from animals that are not in good health.

However, since the usage of AI requires an advanced IT infrastructure, sufficient technical know-how, and good financial health, the AI in agriculture market has been dominated by North America till now. The continent is home to the Silicon Valley; therefore, numerous AI software and hardware providers exist here, which leads to easy access to this advanced technology. Now, with technological advancements taking place elsewhere too, Asia-Pacific (APAC) is set to witness the fastest penetration of AI in the agricultural sector. The government of the Indian state of Maharashtra is already working with the World Economic Forum for monitoring farmlands with drones.

Thus, with the increasing penetration of advanced technologies, primarily driven by government efforts, the usage of AI will boom in agricultural practices around the world.

Why is Demand for Ambient Lighting Surging in Asia-Pacific?

The surging adoption of LED lights in the industrial sector is credited to their high energy efficiency and excellent design structure. Additionally, the large-scale installation of LED lights in the residential sector is broadening the scope for greater efficiency and advanced designs. Luminaires and lamps, and lighting controls are the two most widely used types of ambient lighting solutions. Between these, the demand for luminaires and lamps was found to be higher in the world during the last few years. This was because luminaires and lamps are integral components of ambient lighting solutions. Furthermore, with the rising demand for greater energy efficiency, the adoption of LED lamps and luminaires is predicted to soar sharply in the forthcoming years.  Geographically, the demand for ambient lighting solutions was observed to be the highest in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region in the years gone by and this trend will continue in the upcoming years as well. This is attributed to ...

Why Are Air Compressor Sales Rising in APAC Manufacturing Sector?

Among the top manufacturing nations in the world are China, Japan, India, and South Korea. Their booming population and export volume are leading to a continuous increase in industrial production. New manufacturing clusters are being set up, and a huge volume and variety of production equipment is being procured in order to fulfill the rising demand for all things imaginable.  One of the key pieces of equipment used at factories is an air compressor, often as part of larger machines that operate on pneumatics (air pressure). Therefore, as per P&S Intelligence, with the burgeoning industrial production, the value of the APAC air compressor market will increase to $15.2 billion by 2024 from $11.8 billion in 2018, at a 4.1% CAGR during 2019–2024 (forecast period).  Some of the common industrial machines that work on pneumatics, therefore require air compressors, are rock drills, riveters, pavement breakers, paint sprayers, forging presses, blast cleaners, nail guns, and atom...

Robotic Process Automation Market Drivers, Restraints, Opportunities, and Trends in Coming Years

Robotic process automation solutions allow businesses to create virtual workforce, which can work on routine and mundane tasks with high efficiency, thereby eliminating the requirement for manual intervention. These solutions offer scalability and reduce operational cost by over 50%, as the virtual workforce can work round the clock. As the RPA systems can work continuously, they offer enhanced customer satisfaction. With the growing complexities in operations, enterprises across the world are adopting automated solutions, interaction solutions, and decision support and management solutions to automate repetitive and mundane tasks. Apart from this, RPA software also helps in mechanizing back-end processes because it can run in the background 24*7. This, in turn, allows human employees to concentrate on more important tasks, such as product development or client handling.
